Jesse N. provided my boss and I unparalleled service and coffee knowledge last week when we were driving between customer visits. The friendliness and Coffee insight was on a level I could only hope to experience with other local business in the bay. If this was in my town of Petaluma, I would go there daily!

Mind blowing. Just off the hwy in Concord. Jesse expertly prepared an excellent Peruvian varietal pour over to make the rest of my drive manageable. I'm so glad I stumbled into this place. 50-80 types of quality green beans on hand at any moment, roasted to order. Even has lockers there for after hours pick-up. Can't wait to snag the coveted Yemani beans he is small batching for me tomorrow. Not your typical cafe or "specialty coffee" roaster. Truly a cut above the rest. Wish I had some right now. Buy with confidence!

Had an excellent coffee tasting with the owner Greg this morning! ☕️✨. He was so welcoming and full of information. The coffee was awesome and the event was very customizable. We had Greg choose the coffees and the roasts so we could learn about some varieties and roasts we hadn’t had before. The homemade biscotti was so good too. Definitely check this place out for your coffee bean and at home brewing needs - you won’t be disappointed!

One wonders if you’re in the right place as you enter a business park, nestled next to the Buchanan Airport in Concord, California. In this unsuspecting place is a treasure of a craft coffee roasting business, Berk’s Beans Coffee.

A good friend gifted a coffee tasting experience at Berk’s with founder Greg Berkowitz. What a fun and engaging 2 hours that included a flight of four coffees from around the globe plus fruits, and pastry nibbles. Also homemade anise biscotti baked by Greg himself. Greg’s deep knowledge around coffee reflects his curiosity and passion for the subject. We even walked away with a newly roasted bag of coffee beans of our choosing. I wholeheartedly recommend paying Berk’s a visit if you’re in the area. You can buy just a cup of delicious coffee, a bag of beans or even coffee merch.

Super friendly staff and such a great selection! They took the time to help me pick out some awesome coffee blends, plus chocolate espresso beans and Kona blend K-pods. Felt really well taken care of and left with way more good coffee than I planned ☕️✨

We have been ordering Berk’s Beans for a few years now and love the quality of his roasting. His service is impeccable, communication is always clear. For our wedding anniversary we made the drive to his roastery to do a custom cupping with him. After so many years of ordering and communicating over text and email, meeting Greg was like hanging out with an old friend. His passion for good coffee and educating us on every part of the process was engaging. We had the best time seeing exactly where our beans are roasted, learning about his methods, and then enjoying our selections - which he had freshly roasted to our preference 4 days prior, then freshly ground and poured over perfectly in front of us. Greg has fantastic attention to detail of his customers’ experiences. He has cultivated a welcoming atmosphere for every aspect of his brand. We are excited to bring our friends and family back to Berk’s Beans to do more cuppings in the future and plan on being faithful customers for many years to come. This place is an absolute gem. It's the best place to go for the absolute highest quality, freshest roasted coffee beans. Greg is such a passionate guy that loves to geek out over all aspects of coffee. The shop is full of cool coffee gadgets, and he has an incredible selection of beans that he can roast to your preferences.

We did a coffee tasting for 11 people and everyone had an absolute blast. We loved learning about the entire coffee roasting process and got to try coffees from different continents side-by-side to really highlight the differences. Even a couple of the non-coffee drinkers in our group came away really impressed. Highly recommend doing the tasting -- totally worth it.

Berk's Beans is a great spot in Concord to get an AMAZING cup of coffee. Greg and Jesse were very friendly and very helpful. They are using high quality coffee beans and it really comes across in the finished cup of coffee. They have a very large selection which I am sure will please most anyone. Jesse and I chatted for a minute about recommendations and their Decoy blend is fantastic. I can't recommend this place enough. You guys are doing great things!

I finally made it in last Sunday. Don't let the location fool you! The coffee is heavenly! Greg, the owner is very personable and happily shares information about coffee and the business. I tried the Breakfast in Paris roast as I prefer a dark roast. It was worth every cent. Humbly Caffeinated happened to be onsite that day. I tried a Sweet Potato Latte-run don't walk there. My new favorite drink and my new and only coffee source!!!!

I haven't been this excited for coffee in a while. Struggled with bigger brands and subscriptions thatt dont give you any input.

Very easy to navigate website huge varitey and roasting options....very quick and prompt order processing...im only at my first stop... but was able to put together a small world tour of coffee with some beans I know and a couple I dont..I like the many options offered. Daughter had swim meet at Diablo Valley College today. We searched for coffee nearby and stumbled upon Berks Beans. Upon initially driving past the location, we questioned going in…not much foot traffic around; surrounded by what appeared to be closed small businesses and garage door led inside. We had wanted to read our books while enjoying an espresso but doing so in the uber cold didn’t sound pleasant. But we decided to try the place. And we are so glad we did!!! The extremely friendly owner Greg does his own roasting and serves pour over coffee rather than espresso (when was the last time I had regular coffee rather than a latte?!?). But we loved the dark roast coffee he served us as well as the chai with oat milk. We in fact bought two bottles of his chai. We ended up having great conversation while he talked about his business. We will definitely come back for a coffee tasting and bring friends. The place had a wonderful relaxed vibe. Only wish Greg and his wonderful little shop were closer to home. Looking forward to our next visit! (By the way…the biscotti Greg serves are amazing…my husband and I both prefer the cranberry almond one over just the almond 😉 yummmmmm.)

I booked this place for a private coffee tasting with some friends for a late birthday celebration. The ambience was super cute, the coffee was roasted to perfection, and we were provided with delicious pairings (chocolate covered espresso beans, fruits, macarons, and biscotti)! We had the grandest time! Greg is a superstar at his craft - very knowledgeable, informative, and has top tier customer service. He was a pleasure to talk to and my friends and I learned so much about the roasting process. His coffee is top tier. Well. What a lovely surprise! I found this place because I needed a cup of coffee nearby and just needed that transaction. But I stepped into the cool, industrial spot (yes, you’re in the right place, keep following the directions) and Greg and his few customers totally ensconced me in friendly and interesting conversation. How rare to find that these days! Oh, and the coffee was superb. You gotta check this place out.

My husband and I wanted some delicious coffee and Google led up to a true gem, Berk’s Beans Coffee! We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Greg who was so excited to share his coffee expertise and inspiring story! Walking in, the roasted coffee smelled incredible and it was hard to choose which coffee blend to try. He let us smell the coffee beans and the beans were freshly grounded before he brewed our pour-over coffees. I went with the Decoy blend and my husband had the Summertime blend and both exceeded our expectations! We will definitely be back for more coffee!
