Berks Beans Coffee is amazing! So many unique coffee options to choose from, all incredibly smooth and delicious. The owner is friendly and helpful, let us smell everything and gave great recommendations. They also carry a fun selection of coffee equipment and gear for sale.I love that they carry breads and pastries from Wild Yeast Wonders too. They host events with other local organizations, and I'm already looking forward to checking some of those out. Highly recommend!

Stopped in and had a great experience from start to finish. The owner was incredibly friendly and took real time walking me through the options, and there are a lot of options. But the main thing: the coffee was amazing. Genuinely one of the best cups I've had in a while. He's also opening a tasting room soon, which I'm already looking forward to. Worth the trip, and I'll be back.

If you enjoy coffee, you have to visit Berk's Beans! Whether you want to learn more about coffee beans, or are already a coffee nerd, this is the place for you.

Their default coffee is a pour over (and you get a free one with each bag of beans you purchase). It's in a business park, so there is lots of parking but not a lot of signage from the street. They have a lot of information on different coffees and coffee tasting in the shop and online. Their online roasted coffee catalog online is truly overwhelming - because you can order any and they will roast it fresh for you, within 1-2 days - but the available beans in the shop are more limited and rotate each day. If you order beans online, you can even specify what roast level/temperature you want! If you stop by in person, the staff is happy to chat and answer any questions you have. My one suggestion would be to offer more light roasts (if you look at the catalog, many are light-medium) for the truly funky-fruity aficionados.

Berks has got to be the top spot in the Bay Area. Greg and his team roast in house right in front of you. They share all their knowledge about good coffee and how to make it. A hidden gem you could pass by everyday and not know it’s tucked away back there. 10/10.

Decided to give this coffee shop a try and was very pleased. I’m usually a milk-with coffee type of drinker, so was shocked at how good the black coffee tasted. I also, loved the hot chai. Highly recommend everyone give this place a try. Plus, it feels great to support local businesses where the owners and workers are so passionate about what they do. I’m looking forward to my next visit.

Berk's Beans, WOW! Fresh roasted beans, great cup of Joe, down to earth genuinely friendly people (owner Greg and roaster Jesse) who are true coffee nerds and obviously take a lot of pride in their craft. They really care about helping you find your perfect cup of Joe. What took me so long to finally stop in? Okay, I do know... it's a bit off the beaten path. But now that I've crossed the Rubicon... I can't imagine buying beans anywhere else.

If you are into coffee, this is a must visit place. Great customer service and excellent collection of coffee beans.

If you're coming here for strictly coffee and pour overs this is the place to go. First time going here and didn't realize pour overs were my thing. When I first walked in, I was greeted by the staff who educated me on pour overs. The place is situated in what looks like a storage unit which brought me in due to its uniqueness.


This is a must visit and I will be visiting this place often if I want really good plain coffee and pour overs!

I am beyond thrilled to have found this gem. I can’t get coffee anywhere else now. Gary was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. The coffee was perfect and yes I bought a bag of beans. It’s the espresso blend. Do not sleep on this!!

Greg is amazing and so accommodating. I found his business thru a fb coffee group and I am so glad that I did. He makes the process very easy and has amazing coffee; chai, matcha etc. besides that he has been very helpful. Since I am new to the coffee business he is always making sure I am up to date on coffee/products and answers any questions that I have. I highly recommend Berks beans!

Highly recommend Berk’s for their freshly roasted beans, which make a huge difference in my morning espresso. The staff is also really friendly and knowledgeable, and will give you great recommendations if there’s something you’re looking for in particular.They also have pop up events on the weekend with delicious drinks!

Had an amazing cup of Ethiopian coffee. I'm a long time Peet's fan (Peetnik) and this place ranks right up there. Unbelievable selection. Great service even when busy on a Saturday morning. I don't write many reviews, only when the experience is really great, and today was.

Blown away by all the new knowledge Greg bestowed upon us… his freshly roasted coffee is something we have never tasted and was some of the best we have ever had , the experience …we will never forget. Amazing ambiance, delicious roasted coffee selection! I decided to go for a dirty chai and it was perfection! Also fantastic service from Dean. Met the owner too and he was so friendly! Will be returning very soon.

Excellent coffee, we were lucky enough to meet the owner and he’s a very nice guy with a lot of knowledge for coffee! He made us an excellent iced dirty chai. I’m going to need you to open at 5 a.m so I can stop before work!

Had an early little league game in the area and wanted some coffee. I found Berk’s doing a map search and decided to check it out. The location is in a commercial center, and it is hidden from the road. I’m glad I found it; this place is amazing. Their espresso was as good as anything I’ve had in Europe. The beans weren’t burnt like most espressos you have out here. The dark roast coffee was also amazing. The flavor of the beans really comes through. Greg knows what he is doing.

It smells delicious inside. You just ask for what you like and they match your preference. Im in my second batch and its so fresh and delicious.

You place your order, they roast your beans right then and wait a few days for your beans to season, or whatever it does, and bam, you have yhe freshest coffee you can buy.

We stopped in for a last-minute tasting, and Berk’s Beans was able to accommodate us without any issue. We had an incredible time. Cannot recommend this place enough. Wanted to do a tasting and the owner Greg was able to squeeze us in last minute. He is extremely knowledgeable and extremely personable, and you can immediately tell he not only cares about his craft, but also the industry as a whole. During our time there, we tasted some amazing coffees and learned about the process behind coffee, but also watched Greg interact with other people in the shop, who were in the same or adjacent industries. Greg demonstrates selflessness towards his peers and even potential competitors and his kind spirit is infectious. Equally important, the depth and breadth of coffee they have available is amazing. They roast to your preference, they do blends, single origins, from all over the world. They will work with you to find something you love, no matter your taste preferences. Definitely worth checking out. And he makes his own biscotti, which are delicious!

Went in and ordered a matcha and a pour over and the coffee and matcha was incredible. staff and owner were super kind and patient. super nice spot would recommend
