How the First Responders Coffee Program Works
Step 1: Get Your Bucket — $150
Your first order includes the refillable Berk’s Beans bucket (available in red or blue), an Airscape® airtight lid that locks out oxygen and moisture to keep every scoop fresh, and over 12 lbs of freshly roasted coffee. That’s weeks of station-house fuel, roasted in small batches right here in Concord, CA.
Step 2: Refill for $120
When the bucket runs low, refills are simple:
- Pick your coffee — choose from our blends and single origins below.
- Pick your roast level — Light, Medium, Medium-Dark, Dark, or Dark+.
- Let us know when — tell us when you want to come in and pick up. Just bring your bucket.
All refills are a flat $120 — no matter which coffee you choose. No hassle, no subscription required.

Our first responders coffee program was built for the departments in our own backyard — Concord, Clayton, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Martinez, and communities across Contra Costa County and the Diablo Valley. Local crews can swing by for pickup; we’re happy to coordinate refill timing around your shift schedule.

How much coffee comes in a First Responders Bucket?
Every bucket and every refill includes over 12 lbs of freshly roasted, small-batch gourmet coffee beans — enough to keep a full crew caffeinated for weeks.
Can we choose the coffee and roast level?
Yes. Pick any of our blends or single origins and choose your roast level: Light, Medium, Medium-Dark, Dark, or Dark+. You can switch coffees with every refill.
How do refills work?
Refills are a flat $120. Pick your coffee, pick your roast level, tell us when you would like to come in, and bring your bucket. We roast to order, so your beans are always fresh.
Can I buy a bucket as a gift for a fire station or police department?
Absolutely — that is our Sponsor a Station program. Purchase a First Responders Bucket for your local station and we will handle delivery, snap a photo, and let the crew know who to thank.
